We review your project by phone. A photo of your electrical panel helps us give an accurate price.
Our licensed electrician installs your charger, usually in one day.
We handle the permit and ESA inspection. Then you plug in and charge at home.
Home charging speed depends on the circuit size. A bigger circuit charges faster, as long as your car and electrical panel can support it.
| Breaker | Charging current | Power at 240 V | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 60 A | 48 A | 11.5 kW | Large batteries, fastest home charging |
| 50 A | 40 A | 9.6 kW | Most modern EVs |
| 40 A | 32 A | 7.7 kW | Overnight charging for daily driving |
| 30 A | 24 A | 5.8 kW | Smaller batteries, plug-in hybrids |
| 20 A | 16 A | 3.8 kW | Plug-in hybrids, limited panel capacity |
Your car’s onboard charger sets the maximum speed, so a bigger circuit does not always mean faster charging. We check your vehicle and panel, then recommend the right setup.
Hardwired charger or NEMA 14-50 outlet? A hardwired charger is the cleanest and most weatherproof option. A NEMA 14-50 outlet lets you plug in a portable charger and is a good choice if you may move or change cars.
We install Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, Grizzl-E, Autel and other Level 2 chargers.
Most standard installations start at $800 CAD. The price depends on the distance between your panel and the charger, whether your panel has enough capacity, and the type of charger. Send us a photo of your electrical panel and we will give you an exact price for free.
Yes. In Ontario, EV charger installation is electrical work that requires a permit and inspection by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). We handle both for you, and they are included in our price.
It depends on your panel capacity and your existing load. We check this during the free estimate. If your panel cannot support a charger, we can upgrade it or set a lower charging current.
You can buy your charger yourself or ask us for a recommendation. If you order online, send us the order confirmation and we will schedule your installation.
A regular 120 V outlet adds roughly 8 km of range per hour. A Level 2 charger typically adds about 30 to 50 km per hour, depending on your vehicle and the charger’s power, enough to fully charge most EVs overnight.
We provide a 3-year workmanship warranty. Your charger is also covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
